Tenacious D hit the scene at the perfect time to grab me as a fan. I haven’t listened to them in a really long time, and I’m pretty sure there’s an album or two that I never bothered to check out, but the HBO show and the first album will always have a special place in my heart. This is one of the more epic tunes from that album, and is still pretty fun. Jack Black is at his best when he’s storytelling in my opinion, and this is a solid classic hero story.

Last time I heard it: I have no idea tbh. But I can trace the origins of why it’s in my head to my dog getting really dirty outside and me cleaning her off and commenting on all the mucky-muck she managed to drag in.
