It’s been a while! Life got pretty busy for a while there, but things seem to be finally calming down a bit, and I should have more time for my posts again.
I’ve talked about Father John Misty, and even mentioned this song before. I mostly like him and his sardonic sense of humor, but the music is generally a bit slower and more folky than my usual style (these days it’s mostly just rap and harder/punkish indie stuff). This song is a bit of an exception. He tends to do one or two high energy songs on each album, and this one goes pretty hard.
Quick notes: I feel like this whole song is a classic joke set up.
I like the immediate reference to Julian Assange and Wikileaks taking his files.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Last time I heard it: In the car on the way home from Houston yesterday
