I first saw Diarrhea Planet shortly after I moved to Austin three and half years go. They put on one hell of a show and I’m super pumped to see them again at Sound on Sound Fest this November.
This song is a bit of an outlier in their library. It’s much more melancholy and pensive than a lot of their more fun and brash garage punk. There’s a lot of emotion in this one, and I love it. There’s a stark feeling of isolation and boredom leading to depression that I think a lot of people can relate to in different times of your life. It definitely hits a nerve for me.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Last time I heard it: I’m not totally sure. I play it pretty regularly on the DJ room I share with friends, and I have a few playlists it’s on that I visit pretty often, so not long ago for sure.
Side note: I’ve never wanted to buy a koozie before, but I love this one and am sad it’s out of stock.
