Andrew Bird is almost too smart and talented. He’s an incredibly gifted songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. His lyrics are insightful and clever, and he tends to push the limits of how people view violins and whistling.
He’s got a pretty interesting history, and pops up in unexpected places sometimes. He started with the Squirrel Nut Zippers in the ’90s, and since then has had avery successful and prolific solo career, as well as showing up as a guest on lots of other artist’s albums, and on soundtracks like the Muppets.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Last Time I Heard it: It pops up on a few playlists I have, but I’m not totally sure. It’s been a while.
