I got this all ready to go and never hit publish the other day, so I’m posting it now.

My GF introduced my to Black Joe Lewis with their awesome song “Come to My Party”, which in my mind is one of the best pre-gaming feel-good get-hyped jams ever. Diving into their catalog you get a lot of that, and a lot of amazing funky soul infused rock. I love their production too. They do a great job at capturing the feeling and energy of a live show.

Other favorites, “I’m broke” and “Please pt. 2.” His scream gets me every time.

Last Time I Heard It: Not 100% sure, but certainly in the last week. It’s been making the rounds on KUTX, the local public radio station lately. It also pops up on a few of my playlists.
