RTJ3 had a surprise release on Christmas. Since then I can’t count the number of times I’ve listened to this album. Run The Jewels does not make bad rap songs. Every track on all of their albums has been a solid banger from start to finish.
This track has been out for a while, and set the tone perfectly for the album as a lead single. Both rappers crush it and the production from El-P is on point. Killer Mike’s “Woo” is my favorite part, but there are a ton of fantastic lines throughout that showcase their cleverness and sense of humor.
I’ve seen RTJ twice at different festivals the past few months, and they do not disappoint. They’re fun, energetic, and always seem to be having a great time. Their attitude draws you in and makes for a hell of a show.
My Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Last time I heard it: Yesterday in the car. Then again when I got home.
