Phantogram is really good. I have to give credit to my partner for introducing me to them. They were always one of those bands that I’d heard of, and I knew they were probably good, I just never gave them the time of day until she put them on while on the road to Ikea. I enjoyed them then, but the song she played reminded me of a Dntel song (Your Hill off the Dream of Evan and Chan EP) so I ended up switching to that song instead. Finally a few months later they popped up on a radio station and reminded to dive in. Since then I’ve had them on a regular rotation, and many of their songs populate my ever growing Thumbs Up playlist. I love their recent collaboration with Big Boi (Big Grams) and their track with RtJ is 👌

This track comes off of their first full length album, 2009’s Eyelid Movies.

Really looking forward to seeing them this November at Sound on Sound fest, where they’re headlining alongside both Big Boi and Run the Jewels, so there will likely be a lot of stage sharing 🙂

Last time I heard it: Not totally sure, sometime in the last few months, a lot of their songs stay on pretty heavy rotation.
